Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Quality Assurance Engineer role within the Quality and Sustainability team at VOICE Pune, focused on Site Incident Handling and supporting global supplier assurance.

What you'll do

• Investigate and resolve Site Incident Handling issues across installations, projects, distribution centers, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with multiple teams including Site Operations, Engineering, Technology, Logistics, and Supplier Quality Assurance.
• Lead problem-solving with containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and systemic fixes.
• Independently handle SIH tickets in JIRA, create SCAR requests, and communicate stakeholder updates.
• Create and maintain quality reports and related documentation such as Technical Information Letters (TILs).
• Gather, analyze, and present SIH quality data and supplier performance trends.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Metallurgy, or Automobile Engineering (education mentioned, completion requirements not fully specified).
• Ability to read engineering drawings/specifications including GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and AWS/ISO weld symbols.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment, calibration requirements, and MSA tools like Gage R&R.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems including ISO 9001 and audit/assessment techniques.
• Experience with structured problem-solving and root cause analysis methods such as 8D and 5 Whys.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
