Reference Data Services Analyst

Overview

Reference Data Services Analyst (RSRU Analyst - C10) in the Regulatory Reporting Recommending Unit (RSRU) team at Citi, focused on Basel counterparty classification for RWA calculations.

What you'll do

• Review obligor information available in the public domain and recommend the appropriate Basel Counterparty type based on regulatory interpretive guidance.
• Liaise with and provide the required facts and evidence to the second line of defense function so they can review and challenge RSRU's counterparty type recommendation.
• Support audit requests pertaining to Regulatory Segment recommendations.
• Take part in the diverse activities the team engages in to support the overall RSRU Book of Work.

What you'll need

• 04 to 09 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Familiarity and academic knowledge of the banking business model, including products, counterparties, risk profile, earning drivers and macro-economic implications.
• Experience with and knowledge of the control environment associated with RWA calculations.
• Demonstrated history of facilitating and driving initiatives to grow or change the bank in a program or project management capacity.
• Strong understanding of bank risk and control frameworks.
• Proficiency in Excel, Tableau, SQL and other data mining applications.
• Ability to coordinate processes and work as part of multiple teams across a firm.
• Proven analytical skills for developing data analysis and quantitative strategies.
• Ability to manage personal workload and agenda independently in alignment with business unit priorities.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills to identify and resolve conflict and mitigate roadblocks.
• Superior attention to detail, accuracy and scope.
• Ability to understand complex ideas and problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and maximize the potential of available tools (including AI).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with large-scale data and querying ability.
