Research Analyst

Overview

Research Analyst role in the Group Anti Financial Crime Utility team, focused on Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) operations.

What you'll do

• Conduct KYC onboarding and periodic reviews using comprehensive data collection and analysis.
• Follow SOPs and procedures to ensure KYC is accurate and completed timely.
• Raise unresolved queries to the next level of support and ensure alerts are accurately recorded, documented, and closed.
• Review trigger events for existing clients and gather additional supporting documentation where required.
• Perform AML and sanctions/PEP screening, onboarding due diligence, and ongoing monitoring.
• Conduct complex research to confirm whether potential sanctions list matches are actual matches according to guidelines.
• Perform Quality Control checks of KYC/AML files and support other AML checks.

What you'll need

• Minimum 1+ years of experience in KYC/AML.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with equivalent working experience.
• Ability to find data from multiple sources/systems and transfer it accurately.
• Practical financial crime experience or transferable skill.
• Curiosity about financial crime matters.
• Awareness of legal corporate entities and corporate group structures.
