Research Associate I

Overview

Research Associate I supporting data sourcing, validation, enrichment, and delivery for assigned workflows or datasets under established procedures and guidance.

What you'll do

• Collect, extract, cleanse, tag, load, and enrich data from structured and unstructured sources.
• Record production and supporting evidence in workflow and queue management tools.
• Monitor queues and escalate delays, data gaps, blockers, and unusual patterns.
• Meet defined production, quality, SLA, and documentation targets.
• Maintain audit-ready records and follow handover, governance, and control standards.
• Participate in UAT, automation- and AI-assisted workflows, team huddles, and calibration sessions.
• Suggest incremental process improvements for senior review.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in data operations, research, or related roles.
• Familiarity with structured and unstructured formats such as Excel, PDFs, filings, news, and vendor feeds.
• Beginner knowledge of SQL and Excel for querying, filtering, and reconciling data.
• Awareness of automation and GenAI tools.
• Strong attention to detail, operational discipline, and learning agility.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate, and escalate exceptions with evidence.
