Research Product Manager, Labs

Overview

Own ideation and build new AI-powered “moonshot” product concepts for Anthropic Labs, translating emerging research into prototypes and shipped products.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with researchers to understand emerging work and user implications.
• Identify nascent research capabilities that could become transformative products.
• Build prototypes to validate ideas before committing resources.
• Lead 0-to-1 product development from research through internal prototypes to shipped products.
• Define product strategy, vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution for experimental initiatives.
• Develop MVPs and prototypes to validate product-market fit with the lowest cost possible.
• Work on frontier technologies leveraging latest AI capabilities to solve real-world problems.

What you'll need

• Deep technical background working cross-functionally with engineering to ship technical products.
• Ability to navigate and execute amidst ambiguity and operate across domains.
• A track record launching ambitious products with distribution or commercial success.
• Ability to evaluate risks and benefits of new technologies beyond existing playbooks.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging research and industry trends and prototype with AI tools like Claude Code.

Nice to have

• 5+ years in product management, including launching new and scaling existing products.
• Founder background.

Details

• Hybrid policy: expected in an office at least 25% of the time.

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
