Overview
Safeguards Enforcement Analyst focused on Bio Harms, enforcing AI Usage Policies to detect and mitigate biological (and related CBRNE) risks.
What you'll do
- Enforce Usage Policies for potential bio risks and harmful AI use.
- Own and improve bio-harms enforcement monitoring workflows across detection, investigation, triage, and escalation.
- Monitor and analyze platform activity for emerging biological threats (and adjacent chemical, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats).
- Design automated enforcement systems and review workflows to scale with high accuracy.
- Investigate potential violations and gather/document evidence for enforcement decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally to optimize detection models and enforcement systems for bio-related policy violations.
What you'll need
- Degree in a bio-related field (e.g., microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, public health) and/or relevant professional experience.
- Experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, or policy enforcement at platform scale with generative AI tools.
- Experience using AI tools to build data dashboards for metrics collection.
- Ability to analyze complex, ambiguous situations and make defensible decisions under time pressure.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and translate technical bio concepts for diverse audiences.

- Shared on-call responsibility across Policy and Enforcement teams.
- May be exposed to explicit content spanning sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing material.
- Annual compensation range: $245,000–$285,000 USD.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
- Location-based hybrid policy: expected in an office at least 25% of the time.
- Visa sponsorship is available, with support for some roles/candidates.
