Sales and Delivery Architect, Director

Overview

Lead Databricks-focused data platform architecture, advisory, and delivery engagements across the full development lifecycle. Advise senior client stakeholders, shape solutions, and mentor technical teams.

What you'll do

• Lead pre-sales workshops, architecture reviews, assessments, and proofs of concept.
• Own technical relationships with client data leaders and engineering teams.
• Deliver complex data transformation programs in Databricks environments.
• Design and build reusable Databricks implementations, architectures, and accelerators.
• Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical assessments.
• Lead technical discovery workshops and explain architecture to non-technical audiences.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and knowledge-sharing.

What you'll need

• 8+ years building cloud data platform implementations.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Databricks experience.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills for production-quality data pipelines.
• Deep experience with relational and lakehouse data modeling.
• Experience leading complex, multi-phase delivery programs.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with data observability, pipeline automation, and production change control.

Nice to have

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Databricks AI capabilities and enterprise-scale Unity Catalog.
• Experience with Airflow, Prefect, or dbt.
• Pre-sales, discovery, mentoring, or adjacent customer data platform experience.

• Full-time permanent position.
• Annual salary: $113,000–$175,000.
