Sales Engineer 4 - Associate Specialist

Overview

Sales Engineer for Samsara’s connected operations technology, serving as the primary technical authority to drive mid-market GTM for emerging tech products.

What you'll do

• Drive repeatable and scalable sales motion for new products entering the Mid-Market segment.
• Act as a feedback loop between Product Management and the SE org by translating technical edge cases into requirements and beta opportunities.
• Enable Account Executives and Sales Engineers to run value-based discovery tied to strategic outcomes.
• Create and deliver enablement assets such as demo environments, technical whitepapers, and competitive battlecards.
• Monitor proof-of-concept success rates and deployment friction points to track technical health of launches.

What you'll need

• BS in engineering (Electrical/CS/Mechanical/Industrial) or equivalent practical experience in industrial IoT or SAAS.
• 2+ years of customer-facing experience in a technical pre-sales/solutions role (SE, Solutions Architect, support, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (e.g., Command of the Message, MEDDPICC) and ability to coach others.
• Strong technical curiosity to master vehicle diagnostics (OBD-II/J1939), industrial sensors, and API workflows.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from Early Access to General Availability.
• Exceptional ability to communicate complex technology into clear narratives for C-suite stakeholders.
