Sales Engineer - Mid Market - West

Overview

Sales Engineer for Samsara’s mid-market segment, supporting customer engagements around deploying IoT solutions.

What you'll do

• Explain to prospects how businesses use Samsara to address industry challenges.
• Lead demonstrations, value assessments, and proof of concept implementations to advance deals.
• Walk installers through scenarios and help build deployment plans.
• Write scripts using Samsara’s open API and document them for other SEs.
• Serve as a liaison between product and sales teams by translating technical feedback.
• Contribute to account expansion through integration, upsell, and cross-sell.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelors’ of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university.
• Have 2+ years of experience working with customers in pre-sales, customer success, or customer support.
• Be able to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and knowledge of business processes and change management.
• Be able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Have previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
• Have basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Have experience with concepts including technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, and computer networking.

Details

• Remote US role for candidates residing in the West region of the United States (excluding San Francisco Bay Metro, New York City Metro, and Washington DC Metro).
• Requires travel up to 50% of the time.
