Sales Engineer - Southeast US

Overview

Serve as a customer-focused technical sales professional for regional security sales opportunities across the Southeast US. Partner with sales teams, channel partners, and customers to scope, demonstrate, and implement solutions from discovery through proof of concept and close.

What you'll do

• Scope and architect security solutions based on customer technical requirements, business drivers, and budget.
• Articulate solution benefits to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead proof of concept engagements, including deployment, configuration, user training, and issue resolution.
• Use AI-assisted tools for account research, competitive positioning, technical documentation, RFP responses, and communications.
• Enable regional partners and support partner-led opportunities.
• Help customers expand product implementations and integrations.
• Report account and field feedback to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of pre-sales experience in computer networking or security.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of web proxies, network security, and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of email security and mail flow.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Accountability, ownership, proactive execution, and commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• Experience with malware analysis, sandboxing, host-based forensics, or Windows internals.
• Network forensics or incident response experience.
• Enterprise architecture and virtualization familiarity.
• Knowledge of competitors, exploitation tools, malware families, or evasion techniques.
• Fluency with AI-assisted sales and productivity tools.
