Salesforce Data Architect

Overview

Own the enterprise data strategy for Salesforce, including data modeling, governance, migration, lifecycle management, integration contracts, and security architecture.

What you'll do

• Design scalable Salesforce data models aligned to business processes and Salesforce best practices.
• Define data governance standards including data quality, deduplication, MDM, and lifecycle/archiving policies.
• Lead data migration strategy for legacy-to-Salesforce or cross-org migrations.
• Architect solutions for large data volumes, including indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Define integration data contracts with Integration/MuleSoft Architects.
• Establish Salesforce data security architecture covering field-level security, sharing rules, encryption, and compliance.
• Guide backup/recovery and disaster recovery strategy for Salesforce data.

What you'll need

• 15+ years in data architecture, including 5+ years focused on Salesforce.
• Deep expertise in Salesforce data models and SOQL/SOSL optimization.
• Experience with Big Objects and External Objects.
• Hands-on ETL tools experience with Informatica, Talend, Data Loader, MuleSoft, or Boomi.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data warehousing, and MDM principles.
• Experience with LDV strategies and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and Salesforce Shield.

Nice to have

• Preferred experience with Data Cloud (CDP), Snowflake, or other data platforms integrated with Salesforce.
• Exposure to multi-cloud/multi-org Salesforce landscapes.
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certifications (preferred).
