Salesforce Engineer II (Hybrid)

Overview

Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce solutions supporting Kaplan Singapore’s Student Journey operations. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendor partners, and engineering teams to deliver scalable enhancements and innovative solutions aligned with business goals.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and enhance Salesforce Education Cloud solutions aligned with business and academic processes.
• Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), flows, and platform events.
• Collaborate with external vendors to review, develop, and deploy enhancements while maintaining code quality and compliance with Kaplan’s standards.
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs, MuleSoft, or custom connectors.
• Support the setup and maintenance of Salesforce data backup, data masking, and security solutions.
• Work with the Business Applications team and other developers to plan and deliver roadmap features and system improvements.
• Perform system troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization.
• Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and release management activities.
• Stay informed about Salesforce releases, Education Cloud updates, and AI innovations applicable to Salesforce or the wider technology ecosystem.
• Contribute to exploring and implementing AI-driven solutions inside or outside Salesforce that enhance student engagement, automation, and analytics.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of Salesforce development experience, preferably within the Salesforce.
• Proven experience in Salesforce Education Cloud.
• Solid understanding of the Higher Education Data Architecture (HEDA).
• Strong technical skills in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, and Flows.
• Hands-on experience with Platform Events, Asynchronous Apex, and External Integrations.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data backup and data masking tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Keen interest in continuous learning, innovation, and emerging technologies, especially AI and automation tools.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Contact Builder, or Data Extensions.
• Familiarity with Agentforce or other Salesforce AI capabilities.
• Experience or interest in AI-based tools or solutions outside the Salesforce ecosystem, such as machine learning APIs, data-driven chatbots, or predictive analytics.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, or Jenkins.
• Relevant Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Platform Developer II or Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant.
