SAP Basis Senior Consultant

Overview

Senior consultant role for SAP Basis, focused on upgrades, migrations, and 24/7 production support for SAP ABAP & Java systems in hybrid environments.

What you'll do

• Deliver upgrades and migrations for SAP ABAP & Java systems in hybrid environments.
• Collaborate with functional experts to understand business requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Support production operations for mission-critical SAP landscapes in a 24/7 environment.
• Administer ECC, S/4HANA, BW4HANA, and SAP PO systems.
• Perform OS/DB and hardware migration cycles using SUM, DMO, and HSR methods.
• Handle SAP system backup and restore processes for Linux systems.

What you'll need

• 5–7 years of experience as a Senior Technology Consultant (SAP Basis).
• 3–4 years of SAP upgrade and migration experience.
• At least 2–3 years of SAP Basis production support experience.
• Hands-on administration experience with Linux and AIX operating systems.
• Knowledge of database administration in SAP HANA and Oracle, including performance tuning.
• Working knowledge of SAP security hardening and performance tuning.
• Experience with system copy, system refresh, and DB refreshes.

Nice to have

• SAP certifications such as S/4HANA conversion/upgrade, SAP OS/DB migration, and S/4HANA administration.
• Public cloud certifications, preferably SAP specialized (e.g., SAP on AWS, SAP Workloads in Azure).

• Willing to work from customer location in PUNE.
• Willing to work weekends on need basis; compensated with holidays.
