SAP HR Payroll & Time Functional Consultant

Overview

The SAP HR Payroll & Time Functional Consultant works with business analysts, clients, users, operations teams, project managers, ABAP developers, and quality assurance teams to design, configure, test, implement, and support SAP HCM Payroll and Time functionality.

What you'll do

• Work with the Business Analyst and the client to identify requirements, design enhancements, and functionality to meet user requirements.
• Provide functional process ownership of multiple business process areas.
• Organize and facilitate problem-solving discussions with the client, internal operations team, and project managers to resolve issues and maintain project continuity and requirements.
• Perform configuration work to support new and existing functionality.
• Conduct configuration reviews.
• Function as the resident team expert for configuration issues within areas of module expertise, for both support and project work.
• Serve as functional integration owner for multiple process areas.
• Prepare functionality specifications and deliver them to ABAP developers.
• Create Function Design Documents based on Use Case Documents created by the Business Analyst.
• Understand Functional Specifications and write corresponding Detail Design Specifications.
• Develop solutions based on completed Functional Design Documents.
• Review developers' Technical Design Documents to ensure requirements have been met.
• Review unit test plans and quality assurance plans to ensure requirements have been met.
• Support developers and ensure they remain on target.
• Work with the user community to determine solutions for customer problems and requirements.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers and the quality assurance team to develop and test new functionality and enhancements.
• Perform integration testing to ensure new functionality or enhancements do not adversely affect existing functionality.
• Ensure knowledge transfer to functional analysts.
• Utilize ASAP methodology and tasks required during each implementation phase.
• Follow design work and integration testing protocols, change control procedures, uses standards, procedures, and practices.
• Identify SAP solution possibilities and discuss them with business users.
• Develop SAP solutions from Blueprinting, Configuration, Testing, and Production Support.
• Develop technical specifications for system enhancements.
• Assist in preparing Business Process Procedures, Test Scenarios, end-user documentation, and User manuals.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree.
• SAP HCM experience with 2 to 5 years in APJ Payroll and Time.
• Knowledge of Malaysia and Philippines Payroll.
• Payroll experience in at least two additional countries from the APJ pool, including Singapore and Thailand.
• Minimum 1 end to end implementation experience.
• Minimum of 2 - 5 years’ experience executing parallel payroll testing.
• Knowledge of ESS/MSS and Fiori.
• SAP payroll configuration for Gross payroll and Net Payroll.
• Tax Reporter configuration.
• Experience in the SAP Time Module.
• Experience in SAP HCM configuration, schema development, and writing PCRs.
• Experience in creating and defining custom operations and rules.
• Experience with Yearend activities and support packs implementation.
• Extensive experience in compliance reporting for more than 1 country.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
