SAP Order Management Solution Architect

Overview

The SAP Order Management Solution Architect designs and delivers SAP Order to Cash solutions aligned with business requirements, while supporting and preparing for the strategic transition to SAP S/4HANA. The role partners with business, functional, and technical stakeholders and supports global SAP implementations, releases, rollouts, and transformation programs.

What you'll do

• Define enterprise integration architecture aligned with the SAP roadmap, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP BTP.
• Collaborate with business, functional, and technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into integration architecture designs.
• Lead system integration architecture across SAP and third-party applications.
• Design end-to-end integration solutions using SAP PI/PO and SAP BTP Integration Suite, including CPI, API Management, and Open Connectors.
• Ensure integration scalability, high availability, and performance optimization.
• Implement security protocols including OAuth, SAML, certificates, and encryption.
• Provide guidance during implementation and production support.
• Troubleshoot complex integration issues and lead root-cause analysis and performance tuning.
• Participate in SAP-related projects, including releases and rollouts, and conduct requirement gathering, fit/gap analysis, design, and build activities.
• Lead the design, delivery, and governance of SAP solutions across global releases, rollouts, and transformation programs.
• Provide expert L3 support for live countries and ensure the stability, reliability, and optimal performance of business-critical SAP applications.
• Govern solution changes through Design Authority processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, global standards, and long-term strategic objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging emerging SAP capabilities and industry best practices to enable business growth and transformation.

What you'll need

• At least 10 years of IT experience, with 8+ years in SAP architecture.
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or a related subject.
• SAP Order Management/Sales and Distribution expertise.
• Strong understanding of complex multinational business processes.
• Experience delivering large-scale global SAP implementations.
• Experience in a full cycle of an ERP implementation based on a core solution and multi-country deployment.
• Experience in information systems and applications, including SAP SD, MM, WM, PP, and FI/CO, and project management.
• Functional knowledge within SAP ECC6 EHP-7 or later.
• Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Solid functional and technical expertise in SAP business processes and operating models.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of software development standards, processes, and QA practices.

Nice to have

• SAP Certified Development / Integration certifications, including SAP CPI and BTP.
• TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
• ITIL qualifications.
• Hands-on experience with S/4HANA transformation programs.
• Experience in cloud integration and API-led architecture.
• Experience in a regulated life science industry.
• Experience in a regulated industry and/or medical device company.
• Experience with HANA.
• Experience in SAP BASIS/ABAP.
• Working experience in other middleware, including BOOMI/SOA.
