Overview

Security Analytics Engineer L5 at Netflix (CSF), building analytics pipelines, metrics, and dashboards that turn raw consumer security data into a trusted risk narrative.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on analytics to identify root causes of consumer risk.
• Drive analytics for device and authentication risk signals (device trust, login/auth protocols, access patterns).
• Define and quantify consumer product risk portfolios, prioritizing risk areas via ground-truth inventory.
• Translate analysis into dashboards for security teams and leadership risk reviews.
• Partner with security PMs and product teams to define comprehensive security metrics and controls stories for product verticals.
• Collaborate with threat-modeling partners to shape how emerging risks are measured and reported.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and metrics powering analytics and dashboards.

What you'll need

• Domain expertise in consumer product security (e.g., fraud, account security, abuse/trust & safety, authentication, privacy).
• Engineering fundamentals including well-written, tested, maintainable code and scalable data pipelines.
• Expertise in analytics using SQL, Presto, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Ability to turn raw data into clear, compelling narratives.
• Experience using AI/LLM-based tools to speed up analysis, engineering, and reporting.
• Comfort building data models/portfolios/dashboards from a 0-to-1 state and iterating cross-functionally.

• Compensation range: $400,000.00 - $680,000.00 annually (varies based on location).
