Security Engineer 5 - IAM

Overview

Security Engineer (IAM) role focused on designing and building Identity and Access security solutions for Netflix’s global workforce and partners.

What you'll do

• Design and build Identity and Access security solutions for employees, contractors, and external partners.
• Participate in solution design and delivery, including implementation, partner integration, and rollout strategy.
• Work with stakeholders across security and engineering on federated authentication, provisioning/deprovisioning, governance, compliance, and access management.
• Consult and integrate with vendors and service providers to improve identity capabilities in third-party systems.

What you'll need

• Proven track record architecting, building, and operating complex Identity Lifecycle and Access Control solutions.
• Strong communication skills to explain complicated IAM concepts to stakeholders.
• Experience with authentication/authorization standards and protocols: OpenID Connect, SCIM, OAuth, SAML, and LDAP.
• Hands-on experience with workforce identity lifecycle across HCM upstream inception through downstream applications.
• Hands-on experience with vendor IAM solutions such as Okta Workflows, Okta Identity Engine, Auth0, or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD using at least one modern programming language such as Java (preferred) or Python.
• Experience running services on a cloud platform, particularly AWS.
