Overview
Security Engineer focused on product security and AI, securing applications, platforms, and AI-powered capabilities throughout the product lifecycle. The role partners with engineering, infrastructure, product, and AI teams and reports to the Chief Security Officer.
What you'll do
- Design and review secure architectures for products, APIs, integrations, and internal platforms.
- Lead product security reviews, threat modeling, and design assessments.
- Identify, validate, and drive remediation of application security issues.
- Build security guardrails, secure defaults, testing, and automation into the SDLC.
- Define security requirements for AI and Agentic features.
- Improve security telemetry, detection opportunities, and incident response readiness.
- Investigate product security incidents and translate findings into engineering improvements.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in application security, product security, security engineering, or security-focused software engineering.
- Strong knowledge of application security across web applications, APIs, authentication, authorization, and cloud-native systems.
- Experience with threat modeling, secure design reviews, and technical risk assessments.
- Experience finding and prioritizing vulnerabilities through manual testing, code review, and security tooling.
- Knowledge of secure SDLC practices and engineering workflow integration.
- Practical knowledge of AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, insecure tool use, model abuse, and third-party AI integrations.
- Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
