Security Engineer II

Overview

The Security Engineer II is a senior technical role responsible for engineering, operating, and improving global enterprise security platforms and capabilities.

What you'll do

• Engineer, configure, maintain, and improve enterprise security platforms.
• Own designated security technologies and provide subject matter expertise.
• Develop security standards, baselines, procedures, and engineering documentation.
• Automate security operations using scripting, APIs, orchestration, and integrations.
• Support endpoint, identity, email, privileged access, network, cloud, vulnerability, and monitoring platforms.
• Contribute to Zero Trust, platform modernization, M&A integration, cloud transformation, and SIEM initiatives.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, security engineering, or related technical security roles.
• Experience engineering and operating enterprise-scale security platforms in complex global organizations.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, Netskope, email security, Qualys, and SIEM platforms.
• Understanding of Zero Trust, IAM, PAM, Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
• Experience supporting Azure, AWS, OCI, and hybrid environments.
• Experience with PowerShell, Python, APIs, automation, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with M&A integrations, cloud migrations, or enterprise transformation programs.
• Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD security, infrastructure-as-code, or cloud-native security.
• Experience in regulated financial services environments.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Microsoft Security, or CyberArk certifications.
