Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern

Overview

Security Infrastructure Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience securing cloud infrastructure, applications, and developer workflows across AWS and Kubernetes.

What you'll do

• Assist with vulnerability management by reviewing scan results and validating findings.
• Support triage of security findings from internal tools and external sources.
• Analyze logs and alerts from SIEM systems to identify potential security issues.
• Contribute to basic security incident investigations and documentation.
• Help implement and improve security controls across AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Assist with improving detection capabilities and monitoring coverage.
• Work on securing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure workflows.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and security fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
• Interest in cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure systems.
• Basic knowledge of common security concepts (e.g., vulnerabilities, authentication, OWASP Top 10).
• Exposure to programming or scripting (Python, Go, or Bash).
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool.
