Senior AI Research Engineer

Overview

Senior AI Research Engineer for Motorola Solutions, designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models for security and public-safety products.

What you'll do

• Develop AI/ML models end-to-end from concept through production deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with data engineering on dataset creation, annotation, quality control, and pipeline optimization.
• Optimize model performance for real-time and edge deployment constraints like latency and throughput.
• Work on specialized AI areas such as Voice/NLP, Computer Vision & video analytics, or foundational model fine-tuning.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate models into cloud and edge AI platforms for reliability and scalability.
• Define metric-driven evaluation frameworks to benchmark and improve model performance.

What you'll need

• PhD in a technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in applied AI research.
• Deep understanding of Transformer architectures and Vision-Language Models.
• Experience in Python programming.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
• Proven ability to write clean, efficient, well-documented production-level code.
