Senior Analyst - GL

Overview

Senior Analyst for General Ledger based in Chennai, supporting finance operations, ledger processing, reconciliations and reporting for a diversified manufacturing company.

What you'll do

• Extract reports from the ERP system as per the standard operating procedure.
• Analyze ledger extracts and process journal transactions.
• Review reconciliation of sub-module vs trial balance.
• Prepare inter-company cross charges as per standard operating procedures.
• Prepare schedules to balance sheet as per US GAAP requirements.
• Extract reports from the reporting tool to perform reporting commentary and analysis.
• Work in a complex environment with strict project deadlines.
• Collaborate with various internal teams for better delivery of process.
• Work with ERP and finance application technical teams to maintain master data in the GL module.

What you'll need

• B.Com, BBA (Finance), M.Com or MBA (Finance).
• Basic understanding of various accounting standards (US/IFRS/Ind AS).
• Basic understanding of various audits.
• Good understanding of MS applications.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles.
• Good analytical skills and should be a team player.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation such as Excel Macros or VB Scripts.
