Senior Analyst Procurement

Overview

Senior Analyst – GBS Procurement in Chennai, supporting procurement activities including purchase order processing and supplier coordination.

What you'll do

• Issue purchase orders to vendors, follow up for confirmations, and coordinate timely supplier payments.
• Coordinate with vendors on material delivery status.
• Complete open purchase order and shortage reports for review.
• Execute procurement processes efficiently for assigned products and meet service/inventory targets.
• Coordinate with internal requestors and suppliers on purchase order changes.
• Select suppliers for new orders using approved purchasing strategies and manage the supplier database.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies, perform root cause analysis, and prepare customized improvement reports.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or engineering graduate.
• 2-4+ years procurement or supply chain experience preferred.
• Mandatory knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (PF).
• Excellent communication skills (mandatory).
• Experience with order processing, supply chain management, order management, and end-to-end procurement preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP (preferably BAAN).
• Good analytical skills.
