Senior Automation Engineer PLC/DCS/SCADA

Overview

Lead electrical, instrumentation, and automation engineering for biopharmaceutical equipment and systems. Serve as a technical expert across design, software development, validation, commissioning, and lifecycle management.

What you'll do

• Develop proposals, project estimates, solution architectures, and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Prepare and review automation architectures, I/O lists, instrument indexes, loop diagrams, and related drawings.
• Design, configure, test, debug, optimize, validate, and commission PLC/DCS/SCADA systems.
• Generate automation documentation, change controls, and validation deliverables.
• Lead FAT, SAT, startup, troubleshooting, training, and customer acceptance activities.
• Identify technical risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of post-qualification experience in automation or a similar position.
• BE in Instrumentation, Electrical, E&TC, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with PLC/DCS/SCADA platforms such as Siemens and Emerson.
• Working knowledge of TIA Portal, WinCC, PCS7, DeltaV, or similar systems.
• Experience with biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and commissioning support.
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, ERES, 21 CFR Part 11, S88, ISA, IEC, and GMP standards.
• Factory testing and/or site work experience.

Nice to have

• Experience within the biopharmaceutical market.
• A higher or secondary degree in a related subject.
