Senior Back-End Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer working on Java backend and full-stack development for microservice-based, scalable and fault-tolerant applications.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and enhance microservice-based backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Collaborate closely with product and architecture teams to design scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Build, test, and maintain RESTful APIs for high-performance applications.
• Work with relational databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL, to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data consistency.
• Implement unit and integration tests to ensure product reliability and maintain high code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments using AWS.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of product architecture, automation, and development processes.

What you'll need

• 5–8 years of experience in Java backend development.
• BE/B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• MCA in Computer Science/Application.
• Strong understanding of Core Java, including OOPs, Collections, Streams, Exception Handling, and Multi-threading.
• Deep experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and JPA/Hibernate.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and microservice design patterns.
• Proficiency in MySQL or PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, including SOLID and Clean Code.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
• Good experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and product lifecycle development.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Docker or other containerisation tools.

• Basic understanding of DevOps pipelines.
