Senior Backend Developer

Overview

Develop required software features in PHP, delivering on time and meeting the company's performance and quality standards. The role works independently with a broader view of the project.

What you'll do

• Participate in communications with partners and clients, when needed.
• Understand and follow the company's release processes.
• Participate in requirements analysis, development, unit testing and documentation.
• Write quality code to fit unique customer needs and configurations.
• Troubleshoot and debug, with some guidance from senior team members if needed.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize PHP-based web applications and services.
• Build reusable, testable, and scalable backend modules.
• Design and integrate REST APIs and third-party services.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design and optimization.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing components.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and security challenges.
• Manage scheduled processes, background jobs, and application deployments.
• Provide mentoring to junior Software Engineers.
• Deliver trainings and participate in knowledge sharing.
• Achieve a better understanding of the company platform and processes and suggest improvements.
