Senior Backend Engineer - ClickPipes Platform

Overview

Build and operate backend services for ClickPipes, a data-ingestion platform for ClickHouse Cloud. Work on distributed systems and high-throughput ingestion at petabyte scale.

What you'll do

• Build integrations with streaming platforms and object storage.
• Improve systems using operational metrics and customer feedback.
• Drive technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Improve platform scalability and resilience.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
• Respond to production incidents.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of software development experience building and operating distributed systems.
• Strong knowledge of Go and its ecosystem.
• Experience designing scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
• Understanding of concurrency, consistency, and failure recovery.
• Experience with cloud-native architecture and at least one major cloud provider.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving distributed-system production issues.
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate across engineering and product teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with data-ingestion pipelines.
• Experience with streaming platforms or object storage.
