Senior Cloud Engineer I

Overview

Senior Cloud Engineer I role at Russell Investments in Mumbai, focused on automating, migrating and operating cloud workloads across Azure and the firm's private cloud platform.

What you'll do

• Collaborate across the Global Technology organization to design and implement the application stack in Azure.
• Provide expertise on migrating existing workloads using modern technologies such as containerization and Kubernetes.
• Create IaC CI/CD pipelines for public and private cloud platforms using vendor agnostic tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Work with the DevOps and Architecture teams to create a re-usable model for cloud deployments.
• Provide expertise and recommendations to all teams in technology when it comes to cloud technology.
• Create and maintain quality documentation.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of combined DevOps, Infrastructure Delivery and Azure Technologies experience.
• 15 years of combined experience in DevOps and Cloud.
• Expert level knowledge of Azure technology and experience supporting cloud migrations.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft SQL servers and queries.
• Experience deploying .NET/C# and python containers in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes.
• Experience with core technologies: Splunk, GitLab, Octopus, Kubernetes, Docker, Nagios, AppDynamics, Ansible, RabbitMQ, Redis.
• Experience using and supporting CI/CD systems.
• Good understanding of object-oriented development.
• Experience working with Microservice architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management.
• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and meet frequent deadlines.
• Demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving with strong judgment and decision-making capability.
• Ability to act with discretion and maintain complete confidentiality.

• Reports to the Head of Platform Engineering and Application Delivery.
• Shift: EMEA (1:30 pm - 10:30 pm IST), India.
• Location: Goregaon (East), Mumbai.
• Weekend break/fix or maintenance work may occasionally be required.
