Senior Compute System Software Engineer

Overview

Design and develop compute system software and user-mode drivers interacting with GPU, DLA, and other Tegra compute engines. The role focuses on functional safety software for automotive applications and next-generation GPU and DLA platforms.

What you'll do

• Define, architect, analyze, and develop functional safety software.
• Modify complex software for deployment in critical automotive sectors.
• Support software safety certification.
• Contribute to proprietary and open computing standards.
• Collaborate with architecture and hardware engineers on next-generation GPUs and DLAs.
• Promote high-quality software development and mentor engineers.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in complex software development, design, and analysis.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of computer architecture and operating system fundamentals.
• Passion for high-quality software engineering.
• Strong teamwork, self-motivation, and willingness to learn and grow.

Nice to have

• Parallel programming experience with CUDA, OpenCL, or Renderscript.
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or ONNX.
• Experience with DLA, NPU, ISP, DSP, or other special-purpose hardware.
• Experience developing safety-critical software or preparing software for audits.
• Experience with FMEA, FTA, ETA, HAZOP, DFA, coexistence analysis, or freedom-from-interference analysis.
