Senior Consultant - SAP PaPM

Overview

Senior Consultant supporting the technical solution design for Operational Transfer Pricing and other Tax capabilities on the Axial Programme (S/4HANA ERP), acting as a key member of the Axial IT design team and applying SAP best practice to the global standard template.

What you'll do

• Support the technical solution design for Operational Transfer Pricing and other Tax capabilities, or a cross-functional component of the solution.
• Take a central role on the Axial Programme IT design team in defining the global design template for AstraZeneca, in line with the Fit to Standard ambition using SAP best practice as far as possible.
• Ensure integration between business process definition, SAP solution definition and SAP data objects definition.
• Ensure the global standard solution is fully and accurately documented and tested according to project standards.
• Guide the core design through the required governance forums.
• Work closely with IT Enterprise Business Partners, IT Product Managers and SMEs across the design team to integrate solutions into the wider AstraZeneca global standard design.
• Work with SMEs from external partners to adopt standard and groundbreaking technology in fulfilling business capabilities and outcomes.
• In the deployment phase, ensure the localisation requirements of individual operating units are represented while retaining the integrity of the fit-to-standard template.
• Support deployment teams with the business change journey and with successful migration and cutover to the standard design for each entity.
• Participate in hypercare management, resolving capability-related issues in a timely and effective way.
• Apply knowledge of SAP best practices to enable core business capability and a standard global template for your domain as an SAP PaPM Consultant.

What you'll need

• Good functional knowledge/experience in Operational transfer pricing, financial performance and analytics, and financial allocation processes.
• Experience and knowledge in SAP PaPM.
• Understanding of defining data models in PaPM, integration of finance actuals, forecasting (SAP and non-SAP systems), standard capabilities in PaPM, and design of business rules.
• Ability to handle multiple data sources and data objects and integrate them effectively.
• Creation and review of technical design documentation addressing user requirements.
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions.
• Ability to think out of the box and thrive in ambiguous and stressful situations.
• Understanding of cost and revenue allocation process design and implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience and knowledge in SAP Datasphere.
• Experience and knowledge in SAP SAC (optional).
• Experience and knowledge in SAP HANA Modelling (optional).
• Comfort with ambiguity and an agile, open approach.
• Self-motivation with the ability to prioritise efficiently to ensure project goals are achieved.
• Skill in business operations, communications, customer and partner engagement.
• Understanding of various transfer pricing calculation methods, P&L segmentation, monitoring, and true-ups process design and implementation.
• Understanding of supply chains of multinationals and how they are reflected in system landscapes.
• Understanding of SAP FICO, SAP SD and MM pricing.
