Senior Consultant - SAP PaPM

Overview

Senior Consultant supporting the technical solution design for Operational Transfer Pricing and other Tax capabilities within AstraZeneca's Axial Programme, powered by S/4HANA, with a focus on SAP PaPM.

What you'll do

• Support the technical solution design for Operational Transfer Pricing and other Tax capabilities, or a cross-functional component of it.
• Take a central role on the Axial Programme IT design team in defining the global design template for AstraZeneca, following Fit to Standard using SAP best practice as far as possible.
• Ensure integration between business process definition, SAP solution definition and SAP data objects definition.
• Ensure the global standard solution is fully and accurately documented and tested according to project standards, and guide the core design through the required governance forums.
• Work closely with IT Enterprise Business Partners, IT Product Managers and SMEs, including SMEs from external partners, to integrate solutions into the wider global standard design.
• In the deployment phase, ensure localisation requirements of individual operating units are represented while retaining the integrity of the fit-to-standard template.
• Support deployment teams with the business change journey and with successful migration and cutover to the standard design for each entity.
• Take a key part in hypercare management, resolving issues related to your capability in a timely and effective way.
• Apply SAP best practices to enable core business capability and a standard global template for your domain as an SAP PaPM Consultant.

What you'll need

• Good functional knowledge or experience in Operational transfer pricing, financial performance and analytics, and financial allocation processes.
• Experience and knowledge in SAP PaPM.
• Understanding of defining data models in PaPM, integrating finance actuals, forecasting (SAP and non-SAP systems), standard capabilities in PaPM, and designing business rules.
• Ability to handle multiple data sources and data objects and integrate them effectively.
• Creation and review of technical design documentation addressing user requirements.
• Confidence to challenge the status quo and facilitate different perspectives to drive solutions.
• Ability to think out of the box and thrive in ambiguous and stressful situations.
• Understanding of cost and revenue allocation process design and implementation.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in SAP Datasphere.
• Experience or knowledge in SAP SAC.
• Experience or knowledge in SAP HANA Modelling.
• Comfort with ambiguity and an agile, open approach.
• Self-motivation and the ability to prioritise efficiently to achieve project goals.
• Skill in business operations, communications, and customer and partner engagement.
• Understanding of transfer pricing calculation methods, P&L segmentation, monitoring, and true-ups process design and implementation.
• Understanding of multinational supply chains and how they are reflected in system landscapes.
• Understanding of SAP FICO, SAP SD and MM pricing.
