Senior Customer Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure - Hyderabad, India

Overview

Senior Customer Reliability Engineer focused on operating and improving Astronomer’s managed Airflow platform for customer reliability.

What you'll do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain the managed Airflow platform to ensure reliable operations.
• Respond to incidents raised by customers or detected via monitoring and drive permanent resolution or monitoring.
• Troubleshoot customer environments and engage in active triaging with customers.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems and maintain automation for daily operational tasks.
• Work directly with customers to prioritize issues, solve problems, meet SLAs, and provide guidance.
• Maintain 24x7 coverage through a specified 6-hour pager period and join paid on-call weekend rotation.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience with large, complex cloud infrastructures operating at scale.
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience managing a production distributed system with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
• Strong network and Linux experience.
• Knowledge to operate and monitor issues for distributed systems and experience with observability tools.
• DevOps/CI-CD experience and Python scripting, with strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

• Hybrid work model: at least 3 days per week in the Hyderabad office.
