Application Engineering Technical Lead

Overview

Application Engineering Technical Lead for cloud-native Tax platform solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.

What you'll do

• Design and deliver scalable, resilient, high-quality technology solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead microservices and API-first design, including GraphQL Federation/Supergraph (Apollo Federation).
• Develop and support AWS cloud-native applications using services such as Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway.
• Implement and maintain federated GraphQL APIs to integrate across distributed systems.
• Drive engineering excellence through code quality improvements, test automation, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure security, reliability, and performance, including identity and API security.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in Agile ceremonies with CI/CD and automated deployments.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5 years of related software development and system integration experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL and Apollo Federation (Supergraph) architecture.
• Deep AWS Cloud knowledge including Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, IAM, and related services.
• Front-end skills with Angular, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• TDD/BDD testing experience (Cypress, Jasmine, Cucumber mentioned).
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps tools (GitHub, Bitbucket, Maven, Artifactory, Jira mentioned).
