Overview
Vice President hands-on developer and architect role in Corporate Workplace Technology, responsible for end-to-end ownership of critical applications and platform capabilities.
What you'll do
- Own business-critical applications/platform capabilities end-to-end, including roadmap, architecture, delivery quality, supportability, and production stability.
- Lead architecture and design discussions, set technical direction, and evaluate trade-offs aligned to enterprise standards.
- Design and develop core Java, full-stack, and integration solutions while maintaining accountable technical outcomes.
- Partner with business stakeholders and product owners to deliver scalable, secure, maintainable solutions.
- Drive engineering excellence including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, performance, secure coding, documentation, and production readiness.
- Investigate and resolve production issues with root-cause analysis and durable remediation.
- Produce proofs of concept and apply modern practices, including responsible use of AI-assisted development tools.
What you'll need
- 10+ years hands-on experience with Core Java, Java RESTful APIs, Gradle/Maven, Spring/Spring Boot, and IBM MQ.
- 5+ years experience architecting enterprise-scale applications/platforms and leading design decisions.
- Experience owning business-critical applications/platform capabilities including roadmap input and lifecycle modernization.
- Experience mentoring engineers, reviewing designs/code, and driving standards across squads.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT) with responsible usage and strong code quality focus.
- Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, integration patterns, resiliency, scalability, and fault tolerance.
- Highly proficient working in Linux environments.
