Senior Data Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Engineer on Autodesk’s Finance Transformation team. You will design, develop, and maintain data platforms and pipelines that power Finance reporting and analytics, including AI- and LLM-enabled use cases.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, data models, and data products in Snowflake for Finance reporting and analytics.
• Work as the primary data engineering partner for Finance BI Developers and business stakeholders, translating requirements into data solutions.
• Implement and drive adoption of data engineering best practices (modeling standards, testing, monitoring, documentation, governance).
• Build dimensional models, curated data layers, and reusable datasets for dashboarding and self-service analytics.
• Improve data quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability across Finance-owned data products and pipelines.
• Partner with engineering teams to align Finance solutions with broader architectural standards.
• Maintain knowledge of modern data engineering tools, technologies, and industry practices.

What you'll need

• Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake and modern cloud data warehousing concepts.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Engineering roles.
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong proficiency with SQL and experience with orchestration/transformation/automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing/analytical data structures.
• Experience implementing data quality controls, testing frameworks, monitoring, and operational best practices.
