Senior Data Science Engineer

Overview

Senior Data Science Engineer for Sabre’s Data Intelligence & Research team, building and deploying AI- and math-driven data intelligence solutions for travel retailing and operations platforms.

What you'll do

• Architect, code, and deploy complex software solutions or data intelligence pipelines integrating mathematical algorithms and ML models.
• Identify, prototype, and scale next-generation travel-domain ideas such as AI-driven automation and real-time itinerary optimization.
• Design end-to-end AI systems for market opportunity discovery, LLM integration in internal tools, intent recognition, and conversational commerce.
• Solve high-impact workflow challenges, including optimizing GDS workflows and migrating legacy logic into modern GCP-based AI architectures.
• Define AI lifecycle policies and MLOps standards to maintain model performance across volatile travel data.
• Refactor research prototypes into production-quality, low-latency systems using best practices in Python, Go, or C++.

What you'll need

• Minimum 4 years of related experience in data science, AI engineering, or operations research.
• Advanced degree (Master’s/PhD preferred) in mathematics, machine learning, statistics, computer science, or physics with strong research background.
• Proven experience moving complex models from research to global production in an Agile process.
• Expertise in deep learning, reinforcement learning, and NLP.
• High-performance programming skills in Python, Go, or C++ for latency-sensitive tasks.
• Modern AI tech stack knowledge including GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery), MLOps tools, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with generative AI frameworks and RAG-based systems for workflow automation.
