Senior Data Scientist

Overview

Develop and run Generative AI and Large Language Model applications for business units, mainly within the Commercial Organization. Create solutions that help sales teams and customers and deliver business value and innovation.

What you'll do

• Define and implement AI solutions to create business value and innovation.
• Work with Data Science leaders to develop innovative solutions to existing or new business challenges.
• Develop clear presentations for business stakeholders and managers.
• Manage relationships with business partners to evaluate and foster data-driven innovation.
• Provide domain-specific expertise in cross-organization projects and initiatives.
• Use statistics, mathematics, algorithms, and programming to address business challenges.
• Deploy and scale Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems in production.
• Communicate data insights and negotiate options at senior management levels.
• Lead and/or provide expertise to functional project teams and participate in cross-functional initiatives.
• Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's, master's or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark programming.
• Strong Python coding skills for data manipulation, model development, and integration with Azure services.
• Knowledge of key Azure services such as Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Search, and Azure Functions for deploying RAG systems.
• Ability to design, develop, and optimize workflows in Azure Databricks for data processing and feature engineering.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models, prompt engineering for LLMs, vector databases, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
• Familiarity with the deployment and scaling of RAG systems in production, using Azure’s containerization options such as Docker, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), or Azure Functions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mastery in English.
