Senior Design Engineer - LV Switchgear (Mechanical)

Overview

Senior Design Engineer for LV Switchgear (Mechanical) supporting engineering design activities for projects of varying size and complexity under senior engineering supervision.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize mechanical designs using CAD tools and engineering techniques.
• Ensure designs meet international safety standards, environmental regulations, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with electrical, thermal, and materials engineering teams for integrated solutions.
• Perform mechanical analysis, stress analysis, and thermal simulations.
• Manage design documentation, technical drawings, and engineering deliverables.
• Support manufacturing during prototype development and production ramp-up.
• Review and validate designs for manufacturability, cost optimization, and quality.

What you'll need

• Degree in Mechanical engineering from a reputed university (full-time stated).
• 10 to 15 years of experience in designing Low Voltage Switchgear.
• Ability to analyze customer technical documentation and align designs with product offerings.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and 3D layout drawing tools (e.g., Solidworks, EPLAN Pro Panel, AutoCAD mechanical).
• Excellent communication skills to engage internal and external customers.
