Mechanical Design Engineer (Specialist) - Design of an Industrial welding controller

Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer (Specialist) responsible for designing and modifying mechanical components for an Industrial Weld controller, including detailed design, simulations, drawings, and SAP BOM/database work.

What you'll do

• Design plastic and aluminum die cast components and assemblies for an Industrial Weld controller.
• Design and modify components and sub-assemblies of Weld controllers.
• Translate system requirements into concepts and detailed designs to meet project and system specifications.
• Select standard mechanical elements and interface mechanical design with electronics and software.
• Create manufacturing and assembly drawings as per design standards.
• Perform thermal simulations and heat sink calculations.
• Manage engineering data, including database management and BOM creation in SAP.

What you'll need

• 8-14 years of experience.
• Experience with CAD tools: Creo and/or Autodesk Inventor.
• Knowledge of PDM.
• B.E. or B.Tech qualification.
• Ability to create engineering calculations and documentation.
