Overview
Mechanical Engineer role focused on leading mechanical product design and development, including concepting through drawings, BOMs, verification/validation testing, and release.
What you'll do
- Lead participation in technical discussions such as concept reviews, prioritization, and concept selection.
- Develop concepts into assembly drawings and detailed drawing specifications, including review to finalize design outputs.
- Create 3D models and drawings, including assembly drawings and product configurations/BOM structuring.
- Use CREO tools for part/assembly design, BOM creation, design release, and related workflows.
- Develop and manage technical documentation such as test plans, test reports, and technical notes.
- Support lifecycle and change management activities using ECR/ECO processes.
What you'll need
- 10+ years leading and developing product design, including vendor-developed parts/products.
- Experience with concepts, design, development, verification, validation testing, and QMS.
- Experience building Bill of Materials and performing peer reviews to finalize specifications and BOMs.
- Experience in PLM tools such as Teamcenter/equivalent and Windchill.
- Experience working with global teams and coordinating with vendors for component acceptance verification.
- M Tech/BE/B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience includes system/module/component design and development with inspection/verification and documentation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.
Nice to have
- Preferred experience in optics and development of optical instruments, including concept/detailed design and validation testing.
