Senior Developer-Python (Test Automation)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Python, Test Automation) to build and maintain automated lab test software and pipelines that turn test results into actionable insights.

What you'll do

• Write clean, maintainable Python and take work from design through delivery.
• Build and maintain automated lab test software, including regression and characterization tooling.
• Clean, preprocess, and perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and outliers.
• Visualize results in Kibana and summarize findings for technical stakeholders.
• Ingest and store results in Elasticsearch and relational databases end-to-end.
• Debug test software, lab runs, and data pipelines when failures occur.
• Review code and document setup and results for others to reproduce work.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in test automation, lab/hardware software, or data pipelines with strong Python.
• Experience must include the ability to build automated lab test software (application-only development is not sufficient).
• Solid Python object-oriented programming (OOP) skills.
• Experience driving lab equipment and devices under test from software (e.g., gRPC, serial communication, or similar interfaces).
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana (ingestion, querying, dashboard building).
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI tools.
• Ability to read C/C++ code near firmware or hardware layers.
• Experience with pandas, NumPy, and/or matplotlib.
• Familiarity with Docker and/or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript for building reports.
