Job description

Overview

Develop and support the Economist Group's Digital Analytics and mobile platform as a Senior Digital Analytics Engineer, using JavaScript and digital analytics expertise to grow the data and insights domain.

What you'll do

  • Audit, build and customise Amplitude Analytics, Tealium and Google Tag Manager implementations.
  • Code, configure, report on and provide internal training for analytics implementations.
  • Interact with stakeholders to capture tracking requirements and translate them into Technical Specifications documents for implementation.
  • Audit existing analytics and tag manager implementations.
  • Write measurement strategy documents.
  • Configure tracking and visualise data for various clients.
  • Configure data integrations across various marketing and analytics platforms using tools.
  • Build data workflows and store data in BigQuery (Google Cloud).
  • Query data to answer business questions when needed.
  • Lead marketing integrations with ad platforms, external partners and internal tools.
  • Architect, design and implement data within a data layer.
  • Manage the marketing tech stack, including API integrations, Marketing Landing pages, Attribution platform and Marketing Pixels.

What you'll need

  • Strong evidence of hands-on JavaScript experience.
  • Experience working with both manual and tag management analytics implementations and common troubleshooting tools, including Developer Tools, Tag Assistant or GA Debug.
  • Experience managing Google Tag Manager, Tealium and Amplitude Analytics events and integrations.
  • Knowledge of web markup and front-end web development in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and DOM.
  • Technical and communication skills to clearly communicate the processes and tasks needed to make full use of tag management and tags, and to communicate meaningfully with developers.
  • Ability to manage the marketing tech stack, including API integrations, Marketing Landing pages, Attribution platform and Marketing Pixels.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, and their impact on data collection and reporting.
  • Knowledge of general web best practices in SEM, SEO and UX.
  • A B.Tech, B.E or MCA from a reputed institution.
  • 4+ years of experience with tag management systems like GTM, DTM and Tealium.
  • 4+ years of experience implementing and using web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics (Omniture), Google Analytics or Amplitude Analytics.
  • 2+ years of experience implementing third-party tracking tools such as Doubleclick, Adwords and Comscore.

Nice to have

  • Experience with analytics strategies across multiple sites and apps, diverse platforms and high-traffic sites.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Facebook Ads platforms.
  • Working understanding of attribution platforms like Branch or Appsflyer.
  • Experience working with A/B testing tools like Optimizely and Adobe Target.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and server-side coding.
