Senior Engineer, AVP

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for building scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices, optimizing application and database performance, and supporting cloud and data-platform modernization.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Build resilient distributed applications for enterprise workloads.
• Optimize JVM, application, API, Oracle, and PostgreSQL performance.
• Support Google Cloud Platform migration and cloud-native architecture adoption.
• Integrate enterprise applications with Snowflake data solutions.
• Conduct code and design reviews and promote testing, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to scalability, reliability, observability, and architecture decisions.

What you'll need

• 9+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, microservices architecture, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
• Experience tuning Java applications, including JVM, memory, garbage collection, threads, and APIs.
• Strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Experience with Snowflake integration and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Experience with GCP managed services, observability, SRE, or infrastructure as code.
• Technical leadership, mentoring, and development-team guidance experience.
• Experience using AI tools with responsible judgment.
