Senior Engineer C# & Kafka - Bengaluru

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for designing and developing scalable backend services for a distributed, event-driven platform. The role focuses on C#/.NET engineering, system scalability, and cross-team technical ownership.

What you'll do

• Design and implement software for new platform use cases.
• Develop designs to scale existing systems.
• Write server-side code in C#.
• Collaborate with other teams and contribute to their codebases.
• Identify code, design, and architecture gaps.
• Propose and implement solutions for scalability, usability, and supportability challenges.

What you'll need

• 9–14 years of experience building production backend services in C#/.NET.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or a comparable messaging or streaming platform.
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or another search/indexing engine.
• Experience with metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Experience with reliability, testing, and debugging distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Grafana or similar visualization tools.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code and modern deployment practices.
