Senior Engineer, Cybersecurity

Overview

The Product Security Engineer is part of a Research & Development team and collaborates with the project and cybersecurity lead on assigned tasks. The role provides input into the design and testing of new products and projects, guides software developers on security issues, participates in design reviews, and helps resolve security issues.

What you'll do

• Perform threat modeling, security risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing on various medical products and projects.
• Provide and implement security guidance and best practices in the design and development lifecycle of various medical products.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures.
• Evaluate industry standards.
• Determine required tasks and complete them on time with no supervision.
• Identify and communicate potential risks with appropriate mitigations.
• Support other engineers on their designs.
• Provide inputs to the design and testing of new products and projects.
• Provide guidance to software developers on their security issues.
• Engage in design reviews and help resolve security issues.

What you'll need

• B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech, or an equivalent engineering degree.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, or comparable experience.
• 6+ years of security engineering experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in vulnerability scanning, static code analysis, threat modeling, security risk assessments, penetration testing, cloud security (Azure), web application security, and mobile device security.
• Experience in the medical device industry and FDA Regulations.
