Senior Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Engineer, work with customers on Data Center architecture, design, deployment, troubleshooting, migrations, upgrades, fabric expansion and implementation activities.

What you'll do

• Work with the Customer on Data Center architecture, design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across QFX, EVPN-VXLAN, BGP, routing, switching, and Data Center fabrics.
• Analyze configurations, logs, traffic flows, and network behavior to identify root cause and provide corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on spine-leaf architectures, EVPN-VXLAN, underlay/overlay networks, DCI, and network resiliency.
• Work with Juniper SE, Engineering, Product Management, and JTAC to resolve complex technical issues and drive customer requirements.
• Validate designs, MOPs, software releases, and new features in lab environments before production deployment.
• Support Data Center migrations, upgrades, fabric expansion, and implementation activities.
• Conduct technical workshops and provide best-practice recommendations for network optimization and operational improvements.
• Maintain network design and operational documentation and provide proactive guidance on software, security, and lifecycle considerations.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and improved network performance/reliability.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 8+ years of relevant network experience, including large-scale Data Center environments.
• Typically, 8-12 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of EVPN-VXLAN and Data Center spine-leaf architectures.
• Knowledge of BGP EVPN and VXLAN.
• Knowledge of L2/L3 VNI and IRB.
• Knowledge of Anycast Gateway.
• Knowledge of ESI multihoming / MC-LAG.
• Knowledge of underlay/overlay networking.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, VLAN, LACP, Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, and routing policies.
• Experience troubleshooting complex Data Center production networks and performing RCA.
• Experience with Data Center migration, upgrades, and fabric deployments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Data Center Interconnect (DCI) is highly desirable.

• Work onsite, with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
