What you'll do
- Develop ECAD activity in line with project requirements.
- Review PCBA design input requirements and data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and keep the ECAD design on schedule.
- Define PCB stack-up, layer set-up and execute PCB layout.
- Execute digital, analog and RF based design boards as per Thales design specification.
- Implement DFM, DFA and DFT principles, and design for thermal, mechanical and EMC constraints.
- Perform ECAD deliverables review with stakeholders and ensure on-time review closure.
- Perform layout updates in line with electrical design updates or requirements.
- Provide industrialization support for board design, including implementation of supplier feedback.
- Adhere to the quality management practices deployed for the project.
- Ensure error-free release of Gerber, BOM and fabrication/assembly drawings as per Thales guidelines.
- Participate in integration and verification phases of PCBA solutions in test benches or building blocks.
- Generate schematic and PCBA Gerber files to meet test bench requirements and governing regulatory standards (CE, UL, IPC-610 etc.).
- Identify key BOM items and compliance to RoHS, WEEE and REACH standards.
- Contribute to co-engineering activities with hardware, mechanical, IVVQ and systems engineering teams.
- Perform development activity as per the CHORUS 2.0 process.
