Overview
Senior Legal Engineer designing, building, and deploying AI-powered legal and compliance solutions across Danaher.
What you'll do
- Partner with legal stakeholders to translate workflows into technical solutions.
- Architect and build AI-powered legal applications for contract review, research, regulatory analysis, and compliance.
- Develop and optimize document processing pipelines for ingestion, parsing, chunking, embedding, and indexing.
- Ship production-grade AI features using Python/TypeScript and LLM APIs with CI/CD.
- Build evaluation and quality frameworks with automated evaluation pipelines and metrics for legal AI outputs.
- Embed governance and security controls including access management, audit logging, PII redaction, and data residency compliance.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data science, or machine learning engineering, shipping production applications.
- Production experience with large language models (LLMs) including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, agent/tool-use development, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, with AI/ML libraries/frameworks such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI infrastructure including vector databases and cloud platforms, plus Docker/Kubernetes.
- Experience designing data pipelines and document processing systems for unstructured content at scale.
- Demonstrated interest or experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory domains.
