Senior Engineer - Linux Kernel Development

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for developing and supporting Linux kernel features for Android on Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets and products.

What you'll do

• Develop and support Linux kernel features for Android on Snapdragon chipsets.
• Work with cross-functional teams on kernel features.
• Work on ARMv9 CPUs and features.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
• Support teams using Linux kernel features.
• Identify and support tools for kernel development, debugging, and support.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of software engineering or related work experience.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of operating-system fundamentals, data structures, Linux kernel, and device-driver model.
• Expert-level C programming skills.
• Experience with a Linux kernel subsystem such as core kernel, device drivers, memory, SMMU, or ARM subsystems.
• Debugging and crash-analysis experience using tools such as T32, GDB, or crash utility.
• Experience with tracing, development toolchains, and version control.

Nice to have

• Android background experience.
