Senior Engineer Product Engineering

Overview

Perform failure analysis and sustaining engineering on ICW products (PSOC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices), including electrical failure analysis of customer returns and yield and quality improvement.

What you'll do

• Perform FA and sustaining engineering activities for ICW products (PSOC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices).
• Perform electrical failure analysis for PSOC and IoT Wi-Fi and Bluetooth customer returns.
• Maintain FE (die level) and BE (package level) yields to meet quality targets.
• Support sales and marketing on New Sale Opportunities (NSO) projects for post PR5 ICW products, creating samples and releasing them to volume production.
• Support cost reduction activities, including initiating and qualifying Fab sites, driving test yield improvement, test time reduction, and qualifying manufacturing flow transfers from high-cost to lower-cost locations.
• Perform lot trace analysis to identify potential outliers in manufacturing data.
• Perform ATE testing of ICW devices on the Ultra Flex tester and analyze data logs to identify the cause of failure.
• Perform Wi-Fi and Bluetooth DC/bench testing and system-level testing to further isolate the cause of failure.
• Drive true root cause analysis and corrective action implementation on customer complaints to eliminate customer failures.
• Write detailed FA reports that are sent directly to customers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Microelectronics or Semiconductor Physics.
• 2+ years of prior experience in a product engineering or customer quality / failure analysis role.
• Strong technical and analytical capability, with primary focus on electrical analysis.
• Familiarity with Ultra Flex testers for testing IoT Wi-Fi / BT products.
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics, failure mechanisms and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in FE and BE yield improvements, test time reduction activities, fab transfers, and fab / process qualifications.
• Understanding of 8-D methodology, statistical yield analysis, SBL, DOE, FMEA, FTA, fishbone analysis, Is / Is-not, and Why-Why.
• Expertise in creating 8D reports and summaries in Word and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to present technical content to customers in person and/or over WebEx.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience on Advantest / Verigy / Maverick / Magnum testers and other supported products may be acceptable.
• Expertise in data science, automation or scripting.
